clothes shopping spree

bought two tops (a pink and white twin set and a beige waitstcoat) and two skirts (one black linen and one brown denimy material) today for under a £10 all in :) Wearing the twinset & black skirt now because they're so feminine and I'm in a really girly clothes mood today :)

listening to vampires II

I'm now on with episode 2 of Project: Lazarus...

listening to vampires

I'm listening to the Doctor Who audio play 'Project: Twilight', which mixes vampirism, mysterious scientific experiments and east end villainy...

finished early today

to get a running start at the weekend, I'm not feeling so well these last couple of days, just really tired and yawny face all the time, I need to really relax and recharge the batteries

Wednesday 7 July 2010

watched Doctor Who

volume 5.2 on DVD with The Time of Angels, Flesh and Stone & Vampires of Venice, then had a dream that weeping angels were hiding behind my curtains and if blinked they'd come out and get me!

housework

ok, apart from watching a DVD, I've cut the grass and put all my whites in the washing machine (when oh when will they invent an anti-apartheid washing machine?) and I've done a little hoovering too but it really needs emptying out so that's to do, then there's the dusting to do as well, I'm either a slovenly cow or a domestic goddess or more likely a cross between the two (a domestic cow?) some times it is bloody hard to be a woman ;) wouldn't give it up for anything though :)

Ashes to Ashes

ok, so I've watched all three seasons on DVD now and I must say it was a good conclusion to the story arc begun in Life on Mars, one small thing though I'd have had a cheeky little cameo by a Sam Tyler look alike near the end in the bar, just a brief glimpse of him through the door supping on a pint, oh and anotheinr thing I wouldn't have had them playing Life on Mars either, it'd have to be Ashes to Ashes for me, as the story was about the characters from that show moving not LoM as they'd already moved on...

rediscovered Star Trek: New Voyages

or Star Trek: Phase II as they call themselves now (not quite sure why they changed it as I liked the original title) I saw the first few productions a couple of years ago and kind of lost trak of them, but now I'm d/l B&F 1 from their site and I'm looking forward to watching it tonight.

weird dream

ok, so I was living and working in Brighton, which for some reason was relocated to the south of France, then I was given a new project which involved me moving two doors away to a new house. Then I met a cute woman and started going out with her which made me very popular in the lesbian community, then we were in a car crash with two friends which saw us go off the road and into a swimming pool. I saved us all and was made a Lady and given the freedom of the city, as well as being made lesbian of the year!

Big Finish Day

Big Finish Productions are selling off their first 50 Doctor Who audios for just £5 each :) I've bought all eight audios which I don't have: Jubilee, The Dark Flame, Doctor Who and The Pirates, Creatures of Beauty, Project: Lazarus, Omega, Davros & Master.

wore a dress in public for the first time

last night for the film I wore my black dress, I went for a kind of gothic look and it felt good to look and feel so feminine and be seen to be so feminine.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

This is my fave book of the series, I have this theory that the penultimate book/season/film in a series is always the best one and so far it's always proved to be true. My fave season of Star Trek: TNG is Season 6, my Harry Potter novel is Half-Blood Prince, my fave Twilight novel is Eclipse, my fave Star Wars film is Empire Strikes Back, and so on.
So a midnight preview showing of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse appealed to me on several levels. One that I get to see it before a lot of people. Two that it proves that I'm not some old maid who has to be in bed before ten. Three that I can still enjoy getting glammed up and going out. Four that I can take advantage of a day off work to do something that I can enjoy that isn't housework.
The film is very good, it featured all my best scenes from the book and put them up on screen. It's also got some great moments of comedy too, Charlie Swann's dry dead pan acting just made slightly amusing one-liners into huge laugh out loud moments. All the Cullen siblings get a moment to shine, although the focus is on Edward (naturally), Rosealie & Jasper. Poor Esme hardly gets any screen time at all, although Carlisle gets a little more. Victoria's general Riley gets a lot more screen time, which is necessary I guess to build him up as more of a threat for the final battle. It's a good film and it leaves things in a good state for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn...

Girly Clothes Shopping Day

I bought 3 skirts, one pinky red, another beige with pink flowery pattern & the 3rd a turquisey woodland pattern on it.
I got 2 tops, one plain purple & the other a purple & orange pattern.
I got a denim waistcoat & a pair of denim boyfriend jeans (I don't like the jeans though.
I also) got a new black leather handbag for everyday use as my current one is getting a bit battered with constant use.
